SEATTLE – Brown & Brown Pacific Insurance (SPI), an insurance brokerage and risk management firm, today announced the expansion of its employee benefits practice in Seattle. Rick Joseph, an expert in small groups, joins SPI as an employee benefits producer and Richelle Loveday joins as an associate account manager. The additions come a little over a year after SPI established a successful employee benefits practice in the Pacific Northwest under Matt Lund.

“Today’s benefits marketplace is complicated, especially for small businesses owners who may not have the time or resources to properly navigate its nuances,” said Matt Lund, senior vice president and practice lead of SPI’s employee benefits practice in Seattle. “Rick’s expertise in the small groups area will offer considerable value to our existing and future small business clients.”

Prior to joining SPI, Rick Joseph was the partner and owner of Diamond Benefits Insurance Services. An expert in small groups, Rick has over 30 years of industry experience having managed many accounts including Farm Bureau Healthcare. His approach is focused on partnership and providing value added services, such as medicare consulting, that are critical to success in this area.

Richelle joins SPI from Premera Blue Cross where she served as a procurement specialist. She has over 10 years of experience on the carrier side of the insurance industry. A certified project management professional, Richelle has also owned several small businesses prior to entering the insurance industry.
